Acceptable Use Policy
Version
Draft: this document is being reviewed by our lawyers before live payments open, and may change. Test mode moves no real money.
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It lists what Wolf Pay can't be used for, and the extra rules for some businesses. Our custody partner, Bridge, has its own list too; where they differ, the stricter one applies.
Never allowed
- Anything illegal where you or your customers are, or helping anyone else break the law
- Anyone or anywhere under sanctions (including the US OFAC lists), or getting around sanctions
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or hiding where money comes from or goes
- Fraud, scams, deceptive offers, and pyramid or Ponzi schemes
- Gambling, betting, lotteries and sweepstakes
- Adult content or services
- Cannabis, CBD, tobacco and vapes, pharmaceuticals and other regulated drugs
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives
- Precious metals, jewelry, watches and other luxury goods
- Unlicensed money transmission, exchanges, lending, investments or securities offerings, and accepting payments on behalf of other businesses
- Selling stolen goods or data, counterfeit goods, or products that infringe someone's rights
- Anything that attacks or overloads Wolf Pay, gets around our limits or security, or uses someone else's account
Reviewed case by case
These can be allowed after review, and we may ask for more information at any time:
- Exchanges, money transfer, lending or investment businesses (with the licences they need)
- Web3 projects and crypto products that aren't exchanges
- Network marketing and direct sales (see below)
Network marketing and direct sales
We serve network marketing companies that sell real products to real customers. To use Wolf Pay, you must:
- Sell real products or services, at fair prices, that people buy to use, including customers who aren't distributors.
- Pay commissions on sales, not on recruiting. Joining fees, starter kits and required purchases must be modest and not the main way distributors earn.
- Not load inventory. Offer a refund or buy-back for unsold stock and unused services on fair terms.
- Tell the truth about earnings. No income or lifestyle claims that typical distributors don't achieve; publish an income disclosure where the law expects one.
- Follow the law where you and your distributors are, including direct-selling, consumer protection and tax rules, and keep the records of what you pay each distributor.
- Answer our questions about your compensation plan, retail sales, refunds and complaints, and tell us before you change your compensation plan in a material way.
We may stop serving a network marketing business that doesn't meet these rules.
If something goes wrong
We may hold payments or payouts for review, ask for information, limit features or close an account under this policy, as the Terms of Service explain. To report misuse of Wolf Pay: Talk to us in the dashboard (or reply to any email from Wolf Pay).
