How the numbers are worked out
- Wolf Pay: 1% of each payment, rounded up to the cent, at least $3 and never more than the payment.
- Stripe: 1.5% of each stablecoin payment.
- BitPay: 2% + 25¢ per transaction (their tier under $500,000 a month).
- CoinGate: 1% (Standard plan).
- NOWPayments: 1% service fee.
Monthly cost = number of orders × fee per order, where number of orders = monthly volume ÷ average order. Network fees are left out: in every case they're paid by the customer's wallet. Sources and dates are on each comparison page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest way to accept USDT payments?
It depends on order size. For orders of $300 or more, providers charging 1% (such as Wolf Pay, CoinGate and NOWPayments) cost the same per payment and less than 1.5% or 2%. For small orders, a provider with no minimum fee costs less than Wolf Pay's $3 minimum.
